The evening was actually in honour of me showing up. Thankfully, I had planned this seven years ago when I moved to New York.
I still haven't gotten the grasp of appropriate vs. inappropriate groping. I may need a refresher. Again.
Oh, and a small technicality: you're missing the word "every" (third word) in your fourth paragraph. Not that I'm double-checking or anything.
